Meet Tami, the delightful young pup who’s ready to sprinkle your life with a heart full of love and a penchant for playful antics! Born in January 2024, this sweet little cutie is the perfect blend of energy and affection, always ready for a romp with her furry friends or a cozy cuddle session with her humans. Tami is the classic playful pup, and her toy collection is her pride and joy.  While she enjoys her active playtime, she equally relishes her downtime, content to snuggle up and take a nap or curl up with a bone that will keep her happily entertained for hours. Tami is a leash-walking pro and gets along famously with other animals, though she might need a quick introduction to ensure everyone’s on the same page – she’s just that eager to make new friends! Tami is a social creature who thrives in the company of another playful dog, as she’s always eager to join in the fun. Although she has the typical puppy exuberance, she’s a well-mannered and respectful listener. She responds quickly to commands, happily retreating to her crate or a cozy room when it’s time for a nap or a little alone time, making her a well-behaved housemate. Tami is wonderful with children, though she would do best with school-aged kiddos or older as her enthusiasm might be a bit much for the littles. With her ever-present smile and affectionate nature, Tami is a complete charmer who will brighten up any family. Tami will need obedience training as she gets older and mature. There is a lot for a puppy to learn and like all small puppies, she will need someone who can be home with her a lot and provide her with love, patience and boundaries to help her become a loyal companion. She loves the companionship of other animals and requires another dog in the home to act as her mentor as she continues to understand the rules of her new world.

PUPPIES ARE ONLY PLACED IN HOMES WITH YOUTHFUL, PLAYFUL RESIDENT DOGS WHO ARE AT LEAST 50 POUNDS.

Our requirements for puppy adoptions are simple and necessary.

1. Our puppies are not livestock guardians, they are family pets that live inside of the family home.
2. Puppies must be placed in homes with a youthful, adult resident dog of similar size. This gives the puppy a mentor and a solid foundation for becoming part of the family.
3. Puppies are only adopted to homes with someone at home at least part of the day. If no one is home for 6-8 hours at a time, please do not apply.
4. Preference is always given to those with Great Pyrenees experience.
5. Applicants must have secure, visible fencing and a socialization plan in place.
6. The fastest way to be considered for a puppy is to fill out an application. Adoption is not first come, first served. GPRS and its fosters work diligently to find the right fit for each and every unique dog and puppy.
7. Applicant’s personal pets must be current on vaccines & heartworm/flea prevention and be altered.

Adoption fee: $450 (Adoption fee includes spay or neuter, distemper/parvo vaccines, flea preventative, deworming, and health certificate for travel). Adopters pay the cost of transport services outside of Texas area. Transport costs depend on location and company used. Northeast transport fee is $200. The Northwest and Midwest transport fees range from $225-$350. The Southeast transport fees range from $250-$350.
