Meet Ecora, the calm and gentle Great Pyrenees mix who immediately endears herself with her quiet grace and endless affection. Ecora might not be the type to flash a lot of smiles, but she’s a master at expressing her happiness in her own special way. A few wags of her fluffy tail, a soft paw in your hand, and a flurry of sweet nose kisses are her go-to moves. Ecora is a cuddle bug of giant proportions, and her idea of pure bliss is curling up beside you for a cozy snuggle session—she’s basically your personal weighted blanket with extra love included! Born around January 2022, this laid-back lady has a magnificent badger coat, so luxurious it will make you want to run your hands through it. And when it comes to pampering, this girl absolutely loves belly rubs and ear scratches!  She can’t get enough of them, and she often leans her head on you as if to say, “You’re my favorite.” On walks, she’s the definition of grace, gliding by your side with no pulling whatsoever, making every stroll feel like a peaceful retreat. And forget the doorbell; Ecora comes with a built-in security system, politely alerting you whenever someone’s at the door. Ecora may not be a flashy dog, but her gentle spirit and loving ways will make her the perfect companion for anyone in need of a little extra peace, love, and a whole lot of furry devotion. Could Ecora be the missing piece of your heart?

GPRS has proudly placed thousands of Great Pyrenees and GP mixes in the PNW for over a decade. Our volunteers have over 100 years combined experience fostering, screening, and placing this majestic breed into loving, forever homes. When adopting from us, you can rest assured that we provide life-long support and advice when it comes to your new family member. As always, our purpose is to find the best match for every unique dog that comes through our doors. Taking the time to find the right fit comes first and foremost at the Great Pyrenees Rescue Society. If you are interested in adopting, please take the time, and apply. You will see firsthand how much care, attention and love goes into the process, when you are guided a personal screener. This is why we have people come back again and again for their next family member!
